5、(Pala Chief mine,California,USA)——(Spodumene,Tourmaline)

The pegmatite dike near Pala Village, San Diego County, California grows the ore body of gem and mineral crystal specimen. The Pala Chief mine has been the source of some of the finest kunzite crystals ever found in southern California. The mine was slightly exploited since being found in May, 1903, and closed in 1914. In the medium term in 1960, Occasional finds of spodumene and elbaite were made again, and some remarkable specimens of mineral crystal had also been found due to the ground and underground mining operations.

6、(Benitoite Gem Mine,San Benito,California,USA)——(Benitoite)

Benitoite Gem Mine, San Benito, USA was discovered a century ago, and from the very beginning, there has been a certain mystique about the place and the minerals found there. In spite of its short history, the Benitoite Gem mine remains unique. It is the only place where large, gemmy crystals have been found.

7、(Tri-State District,Kansas,Missouri,Oklahoma,USA)——(Galena,Sphalerite)

Tri-state district is located in the junction of Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. The Tri-state mining district was one of the world's largest producers of zinc and lead for over 100 years. The deposits were discovered in the early 1800s and started commercial exploitation in Missouri since 1849. The district eventually covered approximately 3200 square kilometers in southwestern Missouri, southeastern Kansas, and northeastern Oklahoma. Galena was the principle source of lead in the district and occurred as cubes and, rarely,as octahedra.Combination habits consisting of cubes with their corners truncated by octahedral faces were also found.Sphalerite, the principal zinc ore,was the most abundant mineral found in the district.Tri-state sphalerite exhibits wide variations of color that are largely due to varying amounts of iron in the crystal structure.Colors range from yellow-brown to red to black.

8、(Ray Copper Mine, Arizona,USA)——(Azurite,Malachite)

Ray Copper Mine is located in Pinal County, Arizona, 110 kilometers away from Tucson. 10、(Sweet Home mine, Colorado, USA)——(Rhodochrosite,Quartz,Tetrahedrite )

Sweet Home mine, the well-known locality of high quality rhodochrosite, produces rhodochrosite in thick fuchsia and crimson. They are resulted from high temperature mineralization. Aug. 21st, 1992, is the most glorious day in the history of Sweet Home mine: on this day, miners discovered the "rainbow pocket" geode which caused a sensation throughout the world. This cave which is about 1.5m in depth was filled up with large-sized rhodochrosite. The largest one was later named as "Alma King". It is recognized as the rhodochrosite of the highest grade unrivalled. The color of the rhodochrosite produced in Sweet Home mine are more of pink, peach and bright rose. Especially some of the rhodochrosites are of thick cherry red and typical rhombohedron crystal form is generally recognized as the best of the best. The rhodochrosite produced by Sweet Home mine is famous for its large crystal. Lots of bulky grain excess 10cm. Especially, “King of Alma”, which stuns the world by its length of 16.5cm, is considered as the biggest single crystal of rhodochrosite. Moreover, its crystal form and lustre are cannot to be more beautiful.

11、(Pikes Peak,Colorado)——(Amazonite,Smoky Quartz)

Miarolitic cavities in the Pikes Peak batholith host numerous mineral species, many of which may form excellent speciments in themselves, such as goethite, flourite, zircon, and topaz. However,it is the dramatic contrast afforded by the association of amazonite with smoky quartz and/or cleavelandite,in addition to a combination of size, color, and luster of the amazonite, for which Colorado pegmatites are famous.Among the most highly prized of amazonite specimens are twinned crystals.

12、(Bunker Hill Mine,Idaho)——(Pyromorphite)

The pyromorphite produced by Bunker Hill Mine in Idaho is well-known for its richness of arsenic and yellow or orange color. The grape-shaped campylite yielded in 1980s is of bright color and beautiful shape, so it is one of the species pursued by the international collectors at all costs.

13、(Thomas Range, Utah, USA)——(Topaz)

The typical characteristics of topaz in this area is that the color is adequate and of crimson-brown tone. The largest single crystal can be up to 5cm, and are often with matrix

14、(Hardin County,Illinois,USA)——(Fluorite)

The mining area has existed for 170 years and yielded a number of delicate fluorite specimens. Hardin fluorite is mostly cube crystal, in blue, purple and orange color. There is obvious ribbon distribution in the ordinary crystal. There are also the combination of cube and octahedron.

15、( British Columbia, Canada)—(Jadeite)

Canadian green jade is mainly produced in the alpine to the north of Vancouver. Its hardness is Mohs 6.5. As one of the nepherites, it is not only the national treasure of Canada but also the favorites of the Empress Dowager Cixi. Compared with the Manas jade of Xinjiang, it is characterized with large output, even texture, big lumpiness and bright color. In 1980s to 1990s, China imported hundreds of tons of canadian green jade from Canada, featuring in large size, few cracks and beautiful color. The jasper had supplemented the insufficient supply of raw materials for jasper in mainland China, for both of them are primary mined from mountains. The yielding weight of canadian green jade is large, each one weights 4 to 5 tons.

16、(Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec, Canada) —(Grossular)

The Jeffrey mine in Asbestos, Québec, Canada, is world-famous for beautiful crystals of orange, pink and green grossular. What representative is fine wine coloured grossular garnets (often variety hessonite), super specimens of green vesuvianite and and purple manganese enriched vesuvianite.

17、(Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada)——(Serandite, Analcime)

The most famous mineral in Saint-Hilaire is undoubtedly rare serandite, which presents the wonderful salmon color and interesting crystal habit, the mine used to yield large quantities of fluorescent mineral, such as analcime, feldspar and apophyllite.

18、(Thunder Bay,Ontario, Canada )——(Amethyst)

Discovered in 1955, this is North America's largest amethyst deposit. The mine has been in production since 1960.

Ammonite is of bright color, rich layer and it has the intermediate color, which make it popular with people at the first sight. Due to the diffraction effect between the surface lustre, it shows the iridescence similar to opal, making it become the national treasure in Canada.

20、(Vera Cruz and Guerrero, Mexico)——(Amethyst)

The Vera Cruz amethysts are often doubly terminated, prismatic, attached to matrix or free floating and clear with a pale lavender color. The Guerrero amethyst is much darker in color, prismatic, phantomed, tapering and majestic. Vera Cruz amethyst is popular in wire-wrapped jewelry and as collection specimens. Guerrero amethyst might be the most expensive amethyst in the world by weight and this is quite understandable as one look at a classic Guerrero specimen shows that there simply is no other amethyst like it.

21、(Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Mexico)——(Admite,Wulfenite,Hemimorphite)

Mapimi mine is perhaps the most well known locality from Mexico. An estimated 95% of all collection specimens of adamite have come from Mapimi. The Ojuela Mine is the primary source of Mapimi specimens and ojuelaite is named for this outstanding mineral provider. The adamite in Ojuela Mine is often the combination in grape and ball shape, but the megacryst is quite rare. Apart from the combination in various colors, it used to yield the red columnar crystal and the columnar and pyramidal wulfenite in 2008. Besides, the hemimorphite output here is also famous.

22、(Milpillas Mine,Sonora, Mexico)——(Azurite)

Milpillas Mine, Sonora, Mexico is well-known for its startling production of electric blue azurites and shimmering velvety malachite pseudomorphs (replacements) after azurite, contributing Mexico to the most forefront locality of azurite specimen. The crystals here frequently in association with one another and have become the treasure for mieral collectors. At present, the mining area still maintain the production in small quantity. Due to the small but special mine, the specimens made by every ore chamber differ from each other.

23 (Francisco Portillo, Chihuahua, Mexico)——(Rhodochrosite)

The rhodochrosite crystal produced in this deposit is of exquisite structure. The color of rose is very brilliant. The largest single crystal can be up to 8cm. The crystal forms are mainly rhombohedron and scalenohedron. Larger crystal has a more obvious characteristic scalenohedron crystal form. Meanwhile, spherical crystals clustered with smaller rhombohedron crystals are often found. Paragenetic minerals and associated minerals are more of galena, sphalerite, fluorite and todorokite, etc. In Santa Eulalia lead-zinc-copper deposit which is not far from Aquiles Serdan, Chihuahua, rhombohedron and scalenohedron rhodochrosites which are beautiful in crystal form have also been discovered. The largest crystal can be up to 3cm. Combinations of rhodochrosite and apophyllite are often found.

24、(Naica,Chihuahua, Mexiko)——(Gypsum,Fluorite,Calcite,Pyrite, Galena,Sphalerite)

Naica Mine, Chihuahua, Mexico is the world famous locality for mineral crystal. It was localityally lead and zinc mine, but also exploited gold, silver, copper, tungsten and molybdenum ore. The mine yields the complex sparkling calcite with fluorite crystal, brassy colored pyrite and silver colored galena. Naica fluorite quickly became the classic among fluorite collectors, for it is special for its variant crystal form (usually the cube) and complex combination. Many of them have round surface but the arris fillet is not highlighted enough. Excellent crystals of sky blue anhydrite in association with sparkling snow white calcite crusts are also found there. This combination of gypsum crystal of top grade is rarely seen in the world. Under the well, the miners have found some huge grottoes, where grows the numerous huge gypsum crystals. The biggest one is as long as 15 meters.
